After being on stage as speakers at <\/span>Plastics in Motion 2017<\/b> in Detroit, among the giants of the automotive plastics industry, SAPA’s activity to carry plastics to a higher level constantly continues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today we are in Milan, also this time acting as speakers <\/span>on the stage of Smart Plastics 2017<\/b>: the event organized by the Plast and Plast Design magazines entirely dedicated to high performance polymer materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event will include a program of reports on the state of the art of polymers and composites, of their applications and of the design and processing technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

A privileged space to get to know the latest developments in the industry and to listen, as speakers, to the spokespeople of the industrial and research world, to the technicians and managers of the companies in the industry that will present the novelties and prospects for evolution in the use of high performance technopolymers with an opening to international markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

SAPA will participate with a report by Sofia Lanzillo, Engineer of the R&D Department, who will present a study titled “Lightening of Auto Components through Physical Foaming of a Thermoplastic Material\u201d<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a work carried out with the important contribution of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Salerno. To make cars always lighter, an experimental injection molding activity with innovative <\/span>Mucell<\/i><\/b> technology was carried out.<\/span><\/p>\n

The industrial-scale application of this technology can lead to surprising results in terms of the weight reduction of the components, in the improvement of thermal and mechanical performance and in its aesthetic and design rendering, with the union of this process to other innovative technologies of mold conditioning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The goal is to optimize the results achieved and take them on an industrial scale.<\/span><\/p>\n
