An opportunity to pause and look inside ourselves, to look back at the year that is coming to an end and to start planning the future of a growing business. Obviously, together.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>These are important days, they are very hectic, filled with good wishes and with words that had remained unexpressed.<\/p>\n<p>If I were to say that this is my favourite time of the year, I\u2019d be lying. For a company this is time is filled with hectic work, deadlines and recapping. At the end of the year, you tend to make the last decisions without delaying them.<\/p>\n<p>Yet I must admit that this is also the occasion to shift one\u2019s focus from what is ordinary to something rarer that is not granted.<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the reasons why this year we decided to spend this day of celebrations at a place that is very special for my family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cittadella Cielo<\/strong><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><strong> is a project more than it is a place<\/strong> and I like to use this expression to tell you about the non-static nature of this place where welcoming people is the starting point, the journey and the destination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cittadella Cielo is managed by a community called New Horizons<\/strong>, although the word \u201cmanage\u201d is not the right one. It is a word that fits well in our business vocabulary, but when the focus is people\u2019s lives, it\u2019s a different kettle of fish.<\/p>\n<p>I often quote my father, who used to say: <strong>it is people that make the difference.<\/strong> Certainly, that place is a place that makes a difference and that is not indifferent to what goes on around it.<\/p>\n<p>Usually I prepare a short speech for our Christmas dinner. This year I started by talking about the place we were at.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\"><\/a> <em>Cittadella Cielo is a series of small villages that welcome and support anyone who feels lonely, left out or hopeless and make them feel welcome, supported and loved.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12104\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12104\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/staging-222413.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pranzo-fine-anno-2019-sapa_-67-3.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-12104\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-222413.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pranzo-fine-anno-2019-sapa_-67-3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12104\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Giulia\u2019s and Luca\u2019s stories: they talked about their lives and how they changed since switching from indifference to caring for what happens around them.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 19.9pt; vertical-align: baseline; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Roboto',serif; color: #2f3439;\">I think that there are two ways of looking at life: just looking at others or looking at what is around us with the aim of taking care of what lies on our paths and of taking responsibility for what happens around us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 19.9pt; vertical-align: baseline; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Roboto',serif; color: #2f3439;\">For me and for my family this has always been the essence of all our work. The Foundation that is dedicated to my father was created with this purpose and with the aim of doing more and more and better and better for those who need our help.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 19.9pt; vertical-align: baseline; margin: 0cm 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 15.0pt; font-family: 'Roboto',serif; color: #2f3439;\">And in my opinion, this is the best wish one can make.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12099\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12099\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/staging-222413.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pranzo-fine-anno-2019-sapa_-44-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-12099\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-222413.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/pranzo-fine-anno-2019-sapa_-44-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12099\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Giovanni Affinita at SAPA\u2019s Christmas dinner.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>If you have read this blog, you might have noticed that this year I talked a lot about the future.<\/strong> Sure, for those who work in our sector, this attitude is a must if one doesn\u2019t want to be left behind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>But how does one reach the objective of imagining and planning the future?
