\nHERE IS HOW TECHNOPOLYMERS ARE USED ON APPLICATIONS FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE CARS <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n SAPA has been involved in a new initiative.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n An event exhibiting examples of the Italian excellence in the field of high-performance polymeric materials. I can say with great satisfaction that SAPA was invited to present the new (and I guarantee: revolutionary!) One-Shot\u00ae process in the high-performance section.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Our R&D engineer Alfonso Molaro, gave a speech on this unique and innovative methodology, explaining how and why SAPA specialised in the production of high numbers of components, and the results achieved.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Over the last few years, SAPA\u2019s work focussed on optimising the procedures for components making, achieving a production of 43 million car components per year.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>Even if this appears to be a significant number (which it is), I can honestly say that there was an issue: we realised our company was not different from other components makers. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The market thought of us like one out of many. Surely, an excellent business, but like many others. There was another issue as well: the directives on environment protection and vehicles weight were getting stricter and stricter.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As you probably know already, the more a car weighs, the more it pollutes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Discussing with the engineers, we came to a decision: we had to invest heavily in research to find a way to distinguish ourselves from our competitors, offering a unique service that could meet environmental regulations. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n That is how the Innovation in Engineering team, of which Alfonso Molaro is part, was born. A group of engineers committed to research and innovation. <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Our engineers of innovation are genuine trackers: they work to implement new technologies developed worldwide, within our processes, and \u2013 especially – to create new ones. It is a unique team that requires a considerable effort in faith on the company\u2019s part: immediate results cannot be guaranteed; sometimes it takes a long time to see any. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The One Shot methodology came about thanks to this team, and it has been used as an example of excellence at Smart Plastics 2018.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Alfonso prepared an exclusive presentation for this event, explaining the technical difference between making components with conventional methodology and the one adopted by SAPA.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n CONVENTIONAL METHODOLOGY VS ONE SHOT\u00ae METHODOLOGY Here are two products used by Alfonso, during his speech, as an example.
